Industry Track
Call For Submissions
Submission Deadline: February 10, 2006
The AH conferences are the major forums for the
scientific exchange and presentation of research on adaptive hypermedia
and adaptive web-based systems.
The sessions of the Industry Track at AH2006,
20 June 2006 in Dublin, Ireland, targets practitioners in adaptive
hypermedia and adaptive web-based systems. The track aims at bringing
together users of adaptive hypermedia and web-based technology
to exchange their experience with each other and with potential
users who want to evaluate the applicability of this technology
in their company. The Industry Track facilitates the exchange
of hands-on experience on how to develop and utilize adaptive
technology for e-business, e-learning and other data-intensive
applications. Participants can present, discuss and explore their
new ideas, work in progress and project developments in the area
of adaptive hypermedia and web-based systems. The Industry Track
contains regular sessions in which participants can present and
demonstrate their work and ideas, and will be ended with an Industry
Panel.
We are now soliciting proposals for participation
in the Industry Track.
Submission format
The format for participation in the Industry
Track is that at the conference participants get a slot of app.
30 minutes to present their work, demonstrate software (optional),
and answer questions. The presentations should describe the business
problem, the approach used along with possible alternatives, the
current state of the project, an evaluation of the benefits, and
future developments.
Before the conference participants are required
to provide a 2-page paper on what they want to present and/or
demonstrate.
Note that AH2006 offers the possibility to host
an interactive demo, which distinguishes itself from the regular
demo by the fact that it is performed in rooms with computers,
where each demo member can try out him/herself the demonstrated
software or method (see the separate call for interactive demo).
Submission requirements
All proposals for participation in the Industry Track should
be emailed to the following email addresses:
Shauna Cassidy, scassidy@ncirl.ie
Eugene O'Loughlin, eoloughlin@ncirl.ie
The emails should contain a file with a 2-page
paper (formatted according to the Springer LNCS guidelines). If
accepted, this 2-page paper will be published as part of the AH2006
industry track and workshop proceedings and on the AH2006 website.
In the case the presenters want to demonstrate software, please
include additionally in the emails information on the infrastructure
required for giving the demo.
